Privacy Policy
This policy describes how United Cavaliers Society (hereinafter referred to as "Operator") processes personal data in connection with the CavGens web application. Processing is carried out in accordance with GDPR regulation and relevant legal regulations.

2. Scope and categories of processed data
- User account – email, password (hash), 2FA information.
- Breeding data – records of dogs and pedigrees, health results, statistics (not personal data unless linked to an identifiable person).
- Technical logs – IP address, user-agent, error and access logs (for security and diagnostics).
- Cookies – necessary for login.
3. Purposes and legal bases for processing
- Service provision and account management (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR – contract performance).
- Security and abuse prevention (Art. 6(1)(f) – legitimate interest).
- Analytics and service improvement (Art. 6(1)(f) – legitimate interest).
4. Data sources
We obtain data directly from users (registration, profile), from application operation (logs), from cooperating entities (e.g. Cavalier King Charles Spaniel Club of Bohemia, Moravia and Silesia) and from public sources, if necessary for professional analyses and legally permissible.
5. Storage period
- Account: during registration; then up to 3 months in case of dispute resolution.
- Security logs: usually 6–12 months (depending on security needs).
- Analytics data: typically 13 months.
6. Sharing and processors
- Hosting (Hetzner) – server/database operation.
- CDN/protection (Cloudflare) – security, performance, anti-ddos (processes IP and traffic metadata).
- Email (Brevo/Sendgrid) – transactional emails; contains your email address.
- Error/monitoring (Sentry) – technical errors (anonymized, without sensitive data).
7. Cookies
We use necessary cookies (login, security).
- Necessary – login functionality, CSRF, security.
8. Your rights
- access to data, correction and deletion,
- withdraw consent (does not affect lawfulness before that),
- file a complaint with ÚOOÚ (www.uoou.cz).
9. Security
We use encryption (HTTPS), access control, logging and other measures to protect data. Access to data is limited to authorized persons and processors.
